We've refreshed the look and feel of Kanban boards to make it easier to see more cards at a time.

• The New task button has been added to the upper righthand side of columns
• Updated font sizes
• Improved subsectioned board headers to take up less space

Faster loading of tasks lists ⚡️

It's now faster than ever to open a list and to scroll through it, thanks to a few changes including:

• Optimizing & drastically reducing the number of DOM elements rendered in the page
• Decreasing the number of React components to reduce overhead from lifecycle methods

Scrollbars per Kanban column

Each Kanban column can now be scrolled through separately, making it easier to move tasks from a specific place in one column to a specific spot in another.

Refreshed View menu design

Our updated View menu makes it faster to switch visualization types and to display more attributes in your list.

Improvements & bug fixes

• Mentioning a task in a GitHub / GitLab pull / merge request comment no longer links the task to it, unless you use the keyword "links".
• Updated the onboarding tasks assigned to each new user to cover more of the basics, like creating tasks, opening them, and marking them as done.
• Changed new task behavior to only create the new task / show it to other users on the list when it's been given a name.
• Fixed a bug where inline code blocks don't render correctly in text editor.
• Fixed a bug where tasks linked to pull / merge requests with a closing keyword weren't always having their status changed correctly.
• Fixed an issue where changing your user name on Height also changed your default avatar color.
• Fixed a bug that caused the app to crash if you try to click on one of the text formatting options from the ... full editor.
• Fixed an issue where tasks in smart lists could have their attributes changed when dragged from one column to the next if they no longer fulfilled the smart list filters.
• Added error messages for saving an attribute in Settings when the attribute or any of its options are missing a name.
• Reduced the font size and capped the height size of messages being quoted when typing a reply.
• Deleted users and bots only show in the Sort by menu now if at least one task has that user set.
• Added a confirmation message for when you invite other members to your workspace from "Invite users".
• Fixed a focus issue when trying to change the recurrence pattern for a task with a recurring date-type attribute.
• Fixed a bug that caused guest users to be able to read-only view Attributes in Workspace settings → Attributes.
• Deleted users no longer show as "Subscribed" in read receipts in Chat.
