Better Markdown support everywhere [improved]

You can now style and format your text in task names, descriptions, and chat messages using Markdown. In addition to fixing miscellaneous formatting bugs, this also adds support for tables in task descriptions and chat messages.

Accidentally link the wrong task to a pull request? Simply unlink it right from the Height bot comment.

Improvements & bug fixes

We've continued to clean house, and prioritized fixing many of the most annoying bugs lurking around.

  • Added a + button to easily add additional attributes as columns in Grid view.
  • Fixed some issues where menus would disappear if you moved your mouse too much.
  • Fixed a bug where hitting enter when updating a task name from the task name wouldn't save the change.
  • Fixed an issue where underscores weren't being parsed & formatted correctly.
  • Fixed a timezone issue in filters to show all tasks that fulfill a date criterion, regardless of which timezone they were created / changed in.
  • Added support for URLs with additional domains, like .app.
  • Fixed an issue where you couldn't reorder tasks in the second section if they didn't exist in the first section too.
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes you couldn't always drag a task and its subtasks to the right spot.
  • Fixed the URL for tasks in email notifications.
  • Fixed color pickers to not be full-width on Firefox.
  • Fixed an issue where spaces were removed after bold text in chat messages.
  • If you create a task while using filters, the new task will respect the filter criteria.
  • Improved the Git menu in the right click menu to add options to open linked pull requests and branches.
  • Fixed a layout issue on task pages when the sidebar is collapsed.
  • Added support for code highlighting within bullet points.
  • Fixed an issue where parent task name changes didn't get updated on subtasks in Kanban views.
  • Fixed an issue where assignees for tasks created via the c new task modal didn't get an Inbox notification about the task.
  • We no longer show Jira Cloud imports that have no information filled out.
  • Fixed an issue where long task names weren't wrapping correctly in task previews.
  • Added additional keywords to link a task to be closed when a pull request or merge request has been merged (full list of supported keywords here).
  • Added a task activity history log to record when a pull / merge request has been unlinked from the task.
  • Fixed an issue where tasks linked to an open pull or merge request weren't automatically being marked as "In progress".
  • Fixed an issue where task names with multiple sets of brackets in them weren't being parsed correctly.
  • Removed deleted users from assignees in the c new task modal with prefill turned on.
  • Fixed the error message for when someone tries to reuse an invite link to make it clearer that the link has already been redeemed.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented desktop notifications from working in Brave.
  • Fixed a bug where creating a new tag using the c new task modal didn't save correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where if you use a custom option for the "Show tasks completed" feature, it didn't get applied until after a refresh.
  • Fixed a bug where if you clicked delete on a chat message, it would get deleted before the confirmation modal appeared.
  • Fixed a focus issue where if you unfocus a task name and then click on it again, it didn't correctly focus the input.
