Height now features a dedicated summary block at the top of every project, task, and document. These concise yet comprehensive summaries refresh with new activity, ensuring you and your team always have the most relevant information at a glance — with zero manual effort.

Auto-convert tasks to projects and offload project upkeep to Height

As the foundation of Height, projects provide built-in structure as well as access to our hallmark autonomous features like project checkups (with more on the way!).

While tasks remain quick, one-step actions, when you add subtasks to a top-level task, it will now automatically become a Project.

Share projects faster, with the right access—every time

Clearly distinguish between workspace member and guest permissions with our redesigned project sharing menu. Plus, choose your preferred invitation method: email or shareable link. With these updates, collaborators get the right access faster, so work can begin right away.

Improvements & fixes

  • Live product docs are back in beta and off by default while undergoing some larger improvements.
  • Team Settings can now be found in a modal from Workspace Settings → Teams, letting you stay on your current Height page without navigating away.
  • Fixed an issue where tasks weren’t migrated to the newly selected status after deleting the original status.
  • Fixed an issue where duplicating tasks didn’t retain the team.
  • Task icons now appear properly in spreadsheet and Gantt views.
  • Fixed an issue where the status filter was not working in Triage and Backlog views.
  • Fixed an issue where task descriptions were removed after the V2 update.
  • Users can now remove the "General" list from a team.
  • Fixed an issue where closing stale tasks only sent a notification in chat but didn’t close the task after 7 days.
  • Fixed and issue where newly joined teams were not automatically pinned to the sidebar.
  • Fixed an issue where the project tab was not visible when converting a document to a project from the context menu.
  • Fixed an issue where the share menu dropdown couldn’t be scrolled when containing deleted users.
  • Fixed an issue where the Height cursor in a task cell displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue where project icons were missing from the spreadsheet view.
  • Fixed and issue causing placeholder text in subtasks to be partially hidden.
  • Subtask URLs now function correctly when converting a document to a project.
  • The invite people sidebar item now correctly opens the modal on mobile.
  • Deleting a document no longer labels it as a "task" in the chat activity.
  • Fixed an issue where team icons had a transparent background instead of the correct color.
  • Fixed an issue where missing horizontal padding affected team descriptions.
  • Updated attributes box padding and size to match the intended design.
  • Archived forms no longer appear in the new task menu.
